As of 9b18e1dbe07d89f827f05d5f07d2e3620a3ab740, RandR X extension is being used to paint the screen according to the screen refresh rate, but the implementation is rather basic and need to take care of screen change notifications. Also, make sure that the refresh rate is computed properly.
